I am thinking of moving to Turkey in a year or so, and was wondering about the teaching situation. I have 2 and a half years of experience teaching children in Taiwan, and about a year of teaching adults in Argentina. However, I do not have an education degree or any kind of TEFL/CELTA, certification. Is it absolutely necessary to have one of these to teach in Turkey? I am not looking to work in a university or anything, but hopefully a reputable language school, at least.

There are language schools with a reputation that will give you a job-- you won't even have to do that pesky paperwork to work legally.
