Is wireless internet in abundence over there? Are a lot of networks unprotected? I have a laptop and I'd like to pick up some free signals. |

generally speaking, you have to pay for wireless internet. But there are some free wireless internet spots... you kinda have to look around for them...
I found a really good network of free wireless internet. Check out www.freespot.com |

Judging from my recent travel experiences, it's far easier to find free or low-cost wireless hotspots in Japan than in the UK.
In my obscure corner of the US, our second-largest local coffeehouse chains started offering free wi-fi as a way to compete with the major local chain. Within a year or two, the larger chain followed suit, so it's pretty easy to find free wi-fi here. |

How recent was that? In England there are several pubs in every town offering wi-fi internet access free to customers. Just go right in buy a coke or something, sit down and log on.
Couldn't be easier!

In the four times I've moved I've never had to pay for Internet access. |
