Hello!
I am planning to head to Manuel Antonio in August to get my TEFL with TEFL International and study Spanish. I am hoping to find work, preferably teaching English around Manuel Antonio. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? Is there much job availability for teaching English around that area or anywhere outside of San Jose? Does anyone have any tips for teaching and or living in Costa Rica?
Thank!!

Use the search function, and look at costaricaclassroom.blogspot.com for stories about living and working in Costa Rica, and taking the TEFL course in Quepos. You will also find links to other CR blogs.
Two of my co-students from my TEFL course are running some sort of private school in Quepos. I've no idea what it's actually like, though. Teaching outside San Jose is possible but often requires luck or previous teaching experience to achieve. |
