Hola,

I'm moving to the San Jose area in late August, and I'm curious about rubbish collection. Are there any pick-up services for recyclables? If not, I'm afraid it would be rather difficult to travel by bus with garbage bags to the nearest recycling center...people might think I'm mad

Also, although the school I'll be teaching for offers temporary housing, I'm researching my options for something more afforable. Is it advisable to stay at a B&B/hostel for the first month? I feel like it would give me a chance to meet people, and some time to find my way around and look for the best rates...I feel that inevitably, anything advertised in English on the web will be more expensive. What do you think?
