In my China "hometown", Zhengzhou Henan
(home of the blood collecting re-using of needles and mixing unused blood products and then injecting these unwanted fluids back into the farmer so the farmer can quickly give more blood epidemic)
with an average income of less then 4,000 yuan per year, a kindergarten is charging 100,000 yuan per year tuition (7.5 yuan = $1 U.S.

Teachers give a class to children in a lavishly decorated room of a kindergarten that allegedly collects the highest tuition fees in China in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province, August 13, 2007. The tuition is 100,001 yuan per year and the kindergarten says it will help students pass the college entrance exam when they become 15-years-old.[jinbw.com.cn] |
SO this kindergarten charges 20 times the average yearly income. Not even a money-back guarantee that the students will be able to pass the national entrance exam (college)
BTW, China has the largest "Gini" coefficient in the world. The rich are truly idle rich
(Gini co-efficient measures the gap between the richest segments and poorest segments of the population. Over 4 is considered very troublesome, I think China is now at 4.4)
God speed to those of you in Peru |

I pay about $350/month for my daughter's kindergarten in Japan. It's a regular Japanese school for 3-6 year olds. |

I pay $475 a month for my son at a preschool (ages 2-4), it is open from 7am to 5:30 and the price includes breakfast, lunch and a snack.
Kindergarten (age 5) is free but if you want afterschool care, to 5:30, then you pay $50 a month.
If your income is low, you don't have to pay at all!
