DO youhave to be a resident? I filed taxes, but am not a resident, think I'll qualify? Smile

Bummer. It's for residents. I'm in the same boat as you.
They're trying to kick start the domestic economy - sending dollars to expats won't help.

DArn, it was worth a try. Anyways, I'll still fill out my direct deposit info, who knows, maybe they'll screw up and give me the check anyways.

Agreed. ALl the time and effort and my AGI is 188 dollars.

Jes' came upon this thread. I haven't been a resident for 19 years, but file annually. The IRS seized the checks that I and my Japanese spouse were to receive and sent us a letter informing us of the same.

Don't care and didn't earn it, but they better keep better records than Wachovia did! (See my earlier posting of this board!)
