Hi everyone,
I've searched through the forums quite a bit (to avoid wrath from the more experienced posters!) and I see that money and work abounds in Vietnam. My question is a little bit more specific, and I hope I have not overlooked the answer.
I'll be coming to volunteer at an NGO in HMC for 6 months (next year June to November). I do have money, but the position is unpaid. I will work 9-5 and I would like to supplement my savings. Hell, I'd like to make ALL my income through teaching!
Is it possible to get a 5-9 part time job in Vietnam? I already have a BA and several years teaching experience in Japan and Taiwan. But the work would definitely have to be at night.
Also...would this be legal? Would privates be better?
Thanks! |

You can't throw a stick without hitting a school that is desperate for someone to come in from 5 - 9 or around that. |

5-9 is peak period for English studies. Don't discount weekend work either if you are looking to keep really busy. Weekend work abounds.
Get your CV together and do the rounds on arrival, i am sure you will not be walking too far before someone offers you some chalk and a duster. |
