Any forbidden food items (I know pig products are not allowed).
What kind of presents would make a saudi colleague smile?
What kind of topcis do they want/like to discuss as small talk?
Thanks.
FYI

A Saudi would be endeared to you forever if you brought
(1) Turki sandwich and onion rings from Kudo.
(2) Smoked goat's or camel's head. |

A bottle of nice perfume for the ladies, a litre of Johhny Walker Black Label for the men, and something for your lawyer. |

----" and something for your lawyer."-----
You don't normally get to see a lawyer if you're detained on criminal charges. |

Why not use a 'filter', so that un-wanted posters cannot post! |

Have my posts been making your mouths water??
Now I got it, living(working) in KSA for expats(males) means living in fantasy world, having imaginary on line friends.
Having read all these lonely experiences by browsing all posts, I was just wondering how to make life a better existance in SA for expat females.
Guys ! plz do not answer, I dont want to know any thing about booze, dating, bitching about local customs or comparing things with backhome .
You are in thier country, they pay you high salary, accomodate you according to your standard( maybe better), and tolerate you,
How to integrate with local community to be part of it while there to have fun and be appreciated??
Learning to speak/Speaking a local language doesnt always help, but attitude definitely does. Dont you think so???
How about something like "Thriller in Phillipines" in KSA??
Fully clothed, no booze/drugs and having fun with friends/colleagues. |

One of the funnier things about your posts SusanWW is that you assume that you will have Saudi colleagues. You will be quite fortunate to meet let alone work alongside any Saudi citizens - haven't you figured that out yet? Oh, to be a fly on the wall for your first 3 months in the Kingdom !
