I have been offered a package for teaching at KING Faisal University. The package does not offer allowance for children education, which I found to be quite expensive in the KSA. Is this standard nowadays? Do westerns typically given this allowance? Any tips to make a good case for arguing to obtain this allowance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
BTW, I am a US citizen..

Westerners are normally given school allowance. I have never heard of a US citizen employee of a government university in the Gulf not receiving school benefits...but I might not be up-to-date on Saudi Arabia. By the way, I assume you will be teaching math or some other content area and not English?

Thanks much for the comment! Other thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
By the way, is your last line statement or a question?

I think he was asking confirmation. As to the question of school fees, unless they have significantly bumped up from the salary that you were receiving in Oman (assuming your old post was correct that you were heading there), I would certainly expect it!!

As a professor, you should be able to negotiate it.

Thank you! The salary has increased, but not enough to cover the school fees. KFU is claiming that they do not offer education allowance, and because they are a govt institution they don't have much room for negotiations, which I find hard to believe. Is there a way to know what other profs are getting? Thanks.

Yes. If I were you, I would simply start a thread titled WHAT IS THE PACKAGE FOR WESTERNERS AT KING FAISAL U? Lots of people would be glad to answer, I suspect.
