i got offered a contract at this school...at the pearl river campus.

anyone familiar with the area or the school?

the position is 6400-8000rmb



as well, i got offered another at Zhejiang Normal University which is 5000rmb

You could try asking the schools to put you in contact with English teachers currently working there. If they say no for some fishy reasons, you'll know what to do

Just a note to advise that you may want to ensure that your accommodation and electricity/water costs are covered in your contract. Otherwise, you could see up to 2,500 RMB going towards accommodations. Sorry, I can't help you on the school.

I am fairly certain the OP is hoping for response from those that may have worked there in the past but this is a start. There's even email addresses listed so you can ask lots and lots of questions before you accept the job and sign the contract - - better get cracking though. Classes probably start soon.

There were a couple of negative comments about the quality of the housing and lack of salary payments dating back to 2004. I have not seen anything since then though!
