I would suggest Yak-trax ice walkers, but if they are native siberians they are all pupped to walking on ice. Still the older ones used to look at mine with envy as they knew they couldn't afford a broken leg.

A smoke detector would be good, but most Russians looked at mine and wondered why anybody would want such a thing. Still - with the death from fire rate easily 4 times higher than the US the thoughtful one's might like it.

Maple syrup sells for a premium and comes in little 200 ml. bottles in the gastronom. They might like that as a novelty.

My lady friend didn't think much of Avocado, but she thought the chicken adobo I cooked was edible.

Other than that, the only advice I have to give is don't appear to be trying to buy friendship. That will go over like a fart in a submarine.

Oh yeah, some of them were impressed by my sorel snow boots, but they were all wearing valenki. They might get a kick out of a pair of mooshide muklucks. Maybe a kachina doll? (A hano clown or a thunderbird maybe)
