I am very close to deciding to moving to Katowice for this job, and the last thing I need to straighten out is making sure I can keep filling my prescription over there. I am covered on a private health plan, and it looks like most of the same stuff will be available over there. I am not sure about the cost, or whether or not this is covered. My script is for Welbutrin. If I can't take it, it's probably not the end of the world, but it would be nice if I could stay on it, at least at first. |

Is your employer providing health insurance for you? Talk to your employer about it or at least ask them to refer you to a doctor. I don't know that med, but my experience is that meds are quite cheap in Poland and I've taken a lot of them. |

They're providing me with this service: http://luxmed.pl/en/
which looks pretty good, especially by American standards. He said he's going to check w/ his friend who is a pharmacist. I think it will be ok. |

Im on luxmed and can certainly vouch for their quality of service, at least in Warsaw. As for prescriptions, Im afraid I can't help, but I don't think you'll have that many problems. |

I've gone to LuxMed in Poznan and yes it's a good place. You should be fine. |

Since you will be going to Krakow regularly, there is a doctor on ul Wislna in the Center at DiagaMed who speaks perfect English (practiced in New Jersey) who can direct you to someone who can help. He does take some types of insurance. He does alot of x-rays (is a radiologist by specialty)
His son, Lukasz, is a manager at MedBar on ul. Szewska. He also speaks perfect English. Drinks are reasonably priced, too. |
