Might as well level with you; you have a (large) audience.

There are quite a few of us around the globe: Saudi, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Finland, in other words, all the professional countries where you lot are not eligible to work, and we are watching your exploits with much amusement.

What I find most shocking is how you - as 'teachers' in China - feel able to advise and instruct others! Can you imagine if a McDonalds hamburger assembler tried to advise and instruct a chef in a 5 star hotel......? Surely the chef would say, "But you are at the bottom of the catering pile and earn a minimum wage. Now, you are in that position and earn that amount because you can not get any better. I earn in a day what you earn in a week or month and I, unlike you, am qualified (because if you REALLY WERE qualified you would not CHOOSE to work for McDonalds, would you?) Therefore, you have no right to say anything to anyone, especially not to me."

I refuse to believe that ANYONE other than those stupid enough to get themselves hitched up with a mainland Chinese wife (who will vanish the very same day that she finally gets that western passport) would CHOOSE to earn no more than 15,000 Yuan a month for as much as 30 contact hours PER WEEK (!) when they could start in HK or Singapore on 30, 40, 50, or even 60 thousand dollars a month for 15 hours a week, 3 months paid holiday, etc. Oh, and I forgot the housing allowance of 13,000 A MONTH (probably more than most of you even EARN!!!!!!)

These sort of jobs are made for a certain class of person; you, I am afraid, are not in that class. You can either accept that and move on (and keep your mouth shut) or continue to make yourself look really quite silly. No one believes you when you say that you are there "through choice", etc. What about your wife and kids? Don't you think they deserve a better future than the treading of (green) water in China?

Wanderlust.
Was Bertrand.
Is Anthony Solaway.
Ex- EF China, but got the sack. Ongoing repercussions from that do NOT make him look nice.
Misogynist and racist.
Snob.
Harbors pathological hatreds.
Knows quite a lot about where to get drugs and underage girls.

Go home and beat your wife Anthony, but I suspect she's already left, with a passport.
Or buy a dog; a small one, with no teeth.
You have few friends in HK.

*Gives wandertroll a cookie shaped like Hello Kitty.*

Oh, wait, sorry, I forgot. Fell off the wagon, so to speak.

*Snatches cookie back, making Wandertroll cry like a little girl.*

In wanderlust's opinion...]
- Hong Kong is a COUNTRY!
- There are JOBS for migrants from developing countries such as
wanderlust's home turf!
- I have never seen any NET in Finland nor outside it telling everybody
he was teaching ENGLISH in Finland!
