is it possible for a well-qualified person to find short-term work in costa rica, say from late april to mid july? i figure if it's the low rainy season, schools might be willing to take on someone short term. will that be the case? |

Anything is possible, but you'd have to luck out and find a company that needs a teacher RIGHT NOW come hell or high water. |

You need to be in country interviewing to get a deal like that. I taught at Unversidad Latina in San Pedro for only 3 months (I intended to stay in C.R. longer but I hated living in San Jose). U.L. does not make teachers sign contracts. I liked my experience with them. Check out their website and see when classes begin. |

The new bi mester at Ulatina in San Pedro will begin on September 10th.
However, all teachers who work at Ulatina are now required to get a work visa. This is a costly procedure and may not be worth it for 3 months work, especially when just starting you usually don't luck into full time hours.
hope this helps
