Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a Business Visa to a Working Visa after having arrived in Saudi.
My prospective employers are looking to arrange Business Visas from the embassy in London because they are easier and quicker to issue. After speaking to them on the phone, my employers "think" they can be converted after arrival in the country.
Anyone had any experience of this?

To the best of my knowledge they can't be converted. What you need to do is leave the country and apply for a work visa.

If your employer has wasta, then you might be able to do that in Bahrain or somewhere near. If he hasn't you'd have to return to your home country.

I assume this is a private, money making language school. In Jubail, perhaps?

Some people on this forum say it is not possible; however, my employer had my business visa converted to a work visa in less than two weeks.

it is not possible as far as the laws go.

but laws don't matter in this country.

here, everything is impossible, and anything is possible.
