I am currently teaching at a high school in Korla. I need to return to the U.S. for personal reasons, but my contract lasts until February.

If you assume my contract obligations, you will receive my travel money and bonus in February, about 11,000 yuan. The salary is 4,500 / month for 20 classes per week. Classes are 40 minutes each and are all scheduled in the morning from Monday to Friday. No afternoon or weekend obligations. The classroom contains a nice networked computer with a big screen TV. There are teaching materials and mp3s on the hard drive that you can use. The average class size is 52 students.

I will leave you a DVD player for your personal use that you can also use in the classroom. I will give you a nice 10 speed mountain bike to explore this unique area. There is a 50 meter indoor pool close to the school which you can reach on the bicycle in about 15 minutes.

See http://china.notspecial.org for more information about Korla. Your residence is located on campus. You will have a large kitchen with an oven that you will share with another teacher (a clean-cut 22 year-old American) All utitilities included. Color TV / internet access in your room. Your own computer in the dining room. You share the dining room with the American and a Chinese math teacher. The heater and air conditioner, along with other appliances are all new.

There are several friendly foreigners from 22 to 50 years-old in Korla. One down side is that the apartment is located about 15 minutes by taxi from downtown Korla. You must pay your own airfare to get here.

Live on the silk road, where the sky is blue and a clean river flows through the city. Korla is a prosperous oil town. You can buy western food, play tennis, etc.

You must be a college graduate and be eligible for a z-visa.
Post questions here or send me a private message. I will refer you to a representative of the school, if you meet the minimum requirements. Thanks Smile
