Your biggest concern in the Gulf will be classroom management, not curriculum--especially military and tertiary work. A Bachelor's degree is often all that is required. Sometimes experience outweighs credentials.
If you define mettle as a strength of spirit, determination, pluck or courage, then you will need a lot of it in Saudi Arabia. The real danger is what you'll find when you're alone in your flat at the end of the day with a whole lot of day light left, all dressed up and no place to go. Do you draw? paint? write poetry?compose songs? are you working on a novel? would you like to read the OED from A to Z? are you a praying man?
Saudi could be the perfect place for you to come and work on that Masters degree or a PhD. |
