Hey I'm getting into Bangkok this Friday and I want a decent hotel to book thats near the airport under or around the price of 60 dollars. Since I would have been on a plane for thirty hours I think the first night I'll pay a little more than the average 600 baht and get something a little more comfortable to crash in. But all the airport hotels I'm finding are over 200 dollars a night! Any suggestions??

You could try Queen's Garden Resort; never stayed there myself,

but it seems to meet the requirements you mentioned.

Queen's Garden Resort

It's only 30 minutes by taxi into downtown Bangkok,

where you'd have a lot more hotel choices & stuff to do.

fyi; there's absolutely nothing to see or do near the airport.

If you decide to take a taxi into Bangkok,

go to the ground floor and get into a meter taxi.

Last time I was there, there was a 50 Baht surcharge,

but a taxi is still a lot cheaper than the hotel limo services.

Do not talk to any touts at the airport who may approach you.

Suvarnabhumi Airport Hope that helps; have a nice flight.

I stayed here my first night in Bangkok and was disappointed. Yeah, the rooms were big and clean but the staff were nochalant and unhelpful. I decided to get a taxi there myself so printed off their map, which proved useless, and the taxi drove around for about as long as it would have taken me to get into central Bangkok anyway and then charged me through the teeth for the journey. When I got there the staff were in the middle of an argument with a German couple about the price of the hotel's airport pick-up taxi (they wanted them to pay twice for the journey or something) so I was ignored for 10 minutes.

The next morning they wanted to charge me a fortune use their taxi to go to the nearest subway station. I refused, walked down the street and flagged down a metered taxi which took me all the way in to Khao San Road for about half the price.

I'd suggest getting a cab direct to Khao San Road from the downstairs rank at the airport. It costs a flat 450 Baht. I stayed in a place called Rambuttri Village Inn which was 450 a night, just as good, and had a swimming pool on the roof. If you don't want to stay in Khao San Road, book something else on the net and then print off the address. The people on the taxi rank desk speak English.
