I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. I'm going to heading to Osaka later on this month during Chusoek. I'm currently working in Korea. I was wondering if how long it would take to get a train to Tokyo. I've been tolld that it takes around three hours and finally does anyone know of any cheap places to stay on a short notice? Thanks. |

It takes about 3 hours by Shinkansen and about 7-8 hours by bus. Not sure about accommodation but there are a lot of dormitories in the Osaka area (YMCA, Orange/Banana House etc). |

The new N700 Shinkansen takes 2hrs and 20 mins from Shin-Osaka to Shinagawa. Nice ride. |
