Does anyone know what company would be cheapest to ship with ... I need to ship a large suitcase which will weigh about 30 kilos or so. What's the cheapest company to do it with? It doesn't matter how long it takes to get to the destination... it's going from Barcelona to Warszawa.
Thanks! |

When I started working in Moscow I shipped about 40 kilos by mail. I went down to the main post office in Barcelona and bought three "green boxes" from the nice man, mailed them and they showed up at Kropotkinskaya post office in a month or so. |

Thanks mdk. My problem is that I have to find a way to ship my suitcase which the post office wont take b-c it doesnt fit in the green box. haha. well, ill probably end up giving it to the superexpensive DHL people. Dont know what else to do. THanks anyway! |

Aha! Is a puzzlement.
How much do you love the suitcase? The DHL rate should be enough to take you there first class surrounded by slave girls in silk gauze pantaloons - if you were a guy. This is why I use cheap luggage I buy at Target. If I recall, I put the stuff in the suitcase in the green boxes and left the suitcase at the hostel with a sign which said, "Baby, I'm yours."
The nice man at the Sants station also suggested that if I bought a seat in a first class de luxe sleeper, I could take whatever I could put in the sleeper. I remember he said I could get such a train to Zurich for a little less then my left leg and first male child.
NB cost of a one(1) each army surplus duffle bag something like $20 |

Oh, Yeah.
I just remembered that I could rent a cubic meter of storage in Barcelona at a storage place in zona franca. I don't know if I can mention the name of the company but if you take the bus out to the end of the line ( I think it's a 4) and then walk west of the little plaza along Calle Plumbo you will see it because it is a couple of blocks down the street in a lot with a bunch of shipping containers and a sign that says "something-store"
It cost about 30 euros a month. I still think you ought to get a duffle bag. |
