Hello!
Thanks for stopping by. I was planning to go to China to teach, but now Im thinking more of Vietnam. Have you been to China and/or Vietnam? I am looking for my first teaching job and have narrowed it down to these two countries. If you can give me any advice or input, please feel free to write away. Thank you. Have a nice day. J |

In order to help you more, can you give us some of reasons you have narrowed it down to these two countries?
Probably the main difference is that you can freelance easily in Vietnam. In China I think you need to be on a contract. So you might make more in Vietnam, but not have the stability of a salary at one school and accommodation provided.
Also, I see that you haven't posted your query on the China Jobs Forum. |

Hi, Thanks for replying. first of all for everyone who responds, I know it's spelled: Ho Chi Minh City/typo.
I have always been interested in Asian and South East Asian. I want to go somewhere very different than I have been. Latin America countries mostly, and lived in Hawaii for over 10 years.
I also want to make it easy as possible. I dont have a BA yet but I do have a two year certificate and a TESL certificate. I want to live as comfortably as possible and have time to travel.
I like to go out and have fun but also like quite times and cultural stimuli.
I dont want to live in a town of 20 water buffalos, but not sure I want to live smack in the middle of Bejing. I hate air polution.
I want to teach at a good school. And meet lots of friendly people.
Thanks. J. |
