|
|
Hello,
I have just arrived in Salamanca where I will be studying for one year as part of my degree.
I was wondering if anybody knew of any good language schools where I could apply to for part-time work. I currently hold a CELTA certificate at Grade Pass B and two years worth of teaching experience. I am also part way through completing my degree fom the University of Edinburgh.
Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Simon |

The procedure is to look at the local advertisements for schools teaching English and then go along and talk to them.
I would first make sure it won't screw up your student visa status.
If some of your fellow students want to provide you with a consideration for helping them learn English - like in an Intercambio - you are a lot less likely to get in dutch.
I personally would be happy to provide an hour of conversation practice for a plate of Bacalao a la Viscaina. Who knows what I might do for a serving of Zarzuela de Mariscos? |

MDK, thanks very much for the heads up on the visa issue, I have to be honest I hadnt considered that at all, so its really good to be aware of it!
I have seen a lot of signs on phone boxes for Direct English and Preston Institute, which I was wondering about checking out.
Does anybody know anything about those places?
If neither of them work out, then bring on the bacalao! |
