A little 'Spirit of the Radio' would get me going, too. |

Hm, if I had to limit myself to just 5 Rush albums, I suppose I'd go with: Power Windows, Permanent Waves, A Farewell to Kings, Presto, and Hemispheres.
Tough call, though. |

www.rushisaband.com is always worth checking. Good content and a genuine online community of Rush fans.
I currently have Vapor Trails (solid songs but production is an issue), Counterparts, Snakes and Arrows (most recent; came out about 4 months ago), Moving Pictures and Presto.
Actually, I may go out and buy Hemispheres today!
Q. Which Rush album has the best opening track?
A. (IMHO) Dreamline from Roll the Bones.
Any other opinions? |

Usually, what I listen to depends on the time of day. Before work, when I'm trying to energize myself, I'll listen to stuff like Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, or other classic rock.
After work, I like to get mellow, and will switch to Charlie Parker, Charlie Mingus, Chet Baker, or maybe some Blues. |

I just have 119 tracks on my keitai, that gets me through the long commutes.
Favourite songs right now though are Around the World by Monkey Majik (Saiyuuki theme) and a bit of old school...Shingo Mama and the O'Ha rock |

I have to admit, I don't have much Japanese stuff on mine, with the exception of some Shamisen (Yoshida Brothers) and a little Enka, more for the amusement of my in-laws when they were visiting me in Oregon. |

It currently takes me an hour to drive to work so I listen to the new Smashing Pumpkins album all the way through on the way there, followed by some 2kyu past listening tests on the way home, if I can stomach it. |
