Sounds OK. Milanowek is a nice town and you'll be able to save money.

Yeah, 4300 (I assume net) with housing is one of higher offers for sure, but 40 hours is a lot. Most teachers earn less than that, some by a substantial amount, but they (we) work only 20-30 hours a week. (At least, me anyway. ) Poland's great, but Warsaw is not the prettiest city by any stretch. Know nothing about Milinowek, though.

So, your hourly rate is below the norm. I was paid 43 net/45 min. but I was the only native Enlgish speaker in Rzeszow so they could pay me more. The averaga, I would say, is net 35-40 zl/45 min in the bigger cities. Got an offer in Gdansk for 3800, but does not include accomdation.

Hope this helps

What are some other rates anybody? These are just from my experience.

However, if your 40 hours teaching children isn't going to involve either prep time or travel, I still think this is working out ok.

25 hours +/- that INCLUDE travel to businesses, irregular hours, and prep are (from personal experience) far more onerous that 40 in one location with the same group of students and regular hours.

If I'm right about the conditions, it's probably one of the better jobs on the market, nomad.

Thanks guys... The 4300 is what Ill be taking home. There is no travel time because Ill be living about 2 minute walk away from the school. Ill be teaching from 8am-4pm with breaks, ofcourse, from Monday through Friday. It seemed like a lot to me because I still have to prep my lessons, but I figured for my first job it might be nice to get my feet wet without having to run around all over the place to get to clients or do private lessons. From what Ive been hearing in the feedback I guess it wont be too bad. Thanks for your advice... if you think of anything else, feel free.. good or bad... its always helpful.

Thanks!
