|
|
I have heard that certain provinces and cities have particular requirements for granting residency permits. Namely:
1. 2 years of previous working experience.
2. Graduated at least 2 years ago.
3. Holds some TESL certificate.
I have heard 1 holds true for GuangDong, and 2 & 3 hold true for Beijing. However, this is all unconfirmed.
I would much appreciate any information or experience forumers have with regards to this. =) I am particularly interested in Beijing and Shanghai. |

This was discussed recently by a couple posters whose work permit application was turned down. I recall at least one of them was applying for a position in Beijing. The best suggestion is to apply to any and all positions you are interested in, and see if those employers can get you the paperwork. You may also want to read these threads:

Strange, with the enforcement and stricter rules for Beijing, I still see a salary drop which normally indicates a heavy supply side and a low demand.
I wonder what is really going on (besides the obvious) |

Guangdong depends on whether you have worked here before or not. I am unqualified but worked in GD for 2 years 01-03 before going home. Since coming back (Feb 07) I was told it was fine because I had an old Z visa before. |
