looking maybe to go to Tokyo or Osaka for one month and experience the city and that but i'm having a hard time trying to track down any decent accommodation in either city.

Has anyone got any recommendations? ideally like a private apartment and not one with a shared bath room or kitchen

any help would be greatly appreciated

I checked out LeoPalace because I want my parents to come stay a month but the price was insane, like 100,000 or something for a month, it would be cheaper to stay at a hotel. So did I read this price wrong or is this really how much they charge?

Depending on where and how big that is it sounds pretty reasonable. Given that Leo Palaces don't charge key money, deposits(?) and are already furnished which are all substantial start up costs.

Please tell me a hotel that charges 3000 a day (not per person either). I'll keep it in mind.

Yeah but our apartment is about 40,000 a month...paying near triple that for one month seems crazy..I would like them to stay in the same building...

Not really true, depending on what "a lot of money" means.

It is possible to find private apartments that require no key money and cost around 50,000 yen/month in Tokyo. You might have to pay a few months in deposit (refundable) and maybe one month fee to the real estate company, but it's not so bad. Say in a guest house for a few months while you save up some money to put down for deposit and furnishings, and you're set.
