Hey
Ive just finished a year teaching in Korea and Id like to go to thailand next .
I have a B.A
I have spent a year teaching in a hagwon(private academy) in Korea
I have a weekend 20 hour tefl course
. From what Ive read on these forums my best bet would be to go there and look for a job , but would these qualifications be enough ? I`m not very picky , but if possible id like to avoid working illeagally .
Ant help is much appreciated |

There's always a teacher shortage here. You wont have any trouble. |

It's true, there are always jobs here in Thailand. Try to decide where you would like to live, city, suburb or country. Bangkok is the easiest place to find a job, but it is expensive and crowded. In the countryside you could find yourself one of 3-5 foreigners in the town.
Get a tourist visa before you come. The 60 day visa is best. I did mine in Hong Kong in 24 hours and was very glad I did. It ment I did not have to leave the country to get the B-Visa after securing my job.
Give us some more information about what you want to teach and check out the master index. There's a lot of useful info there. |
