Hey

Ive just finished a year teaching in Korea and Id like to go to thailand next .

I have a B.A
I have spent a year teaching in a hagwon(private academy) in Korea
I have a weekend 20 hour tefl course

. From what Ive read on these forums my best bet would be to go there and look for a job , but would these qualifications be enough ? I`m not very picky , but if possible id like to avoid working illeagally .

Ant help is much appreciated

There's always a teacher shortage here. You wont have any trouble.

It's true, there are always jobs here in Thailand. Try to decide where you would like to live, city, suburb or country. Bangkok is the easiest place to find a job, but it is expensive and crowded. In the countryside you could find yourself one of 3-5 foreigners in the town.

Get a tourist visa before you come. The 60 day visa is best. I did mine in Hong Kong in 24 hours and was very glad I did. It ment I did not have to leave the country to get the B-Visa after securing my job.

Give us some more information about what you want to teach and check out the master index. There's a lot of useful info there.
