Morning everyone....hope all is well.
I am a mad as hell after my morning TransJakarta busride. I was waiting near the back door of the bus with about 15 Indonesians who were allowed to enter by the SatGas guy manning the door. He tried to physically prevent me from entering even though I was about second in the line (not that lines matter at anytime in this part of the world) but my anger at this injustice made me push past this guy to get on anyway. I successfully boarded but they tried to close the door on me and my bag was caught in the door. Only when I screamed obscenities in Bahasa was the door opened.

Now if a similar incident occurred to an Indonesian on a city train in a western country would this not be front page news material with consequent calls for demos and sweepings? I would be interested to hear from anyone with similar experiences.

this one, small statement might be the funniest thing i have ever read on this forum. don't get me wrong, i don't mean to make light out of your situation but seriously, getting beat to the ground by the salesman ...... getting kicked from the crowd........ getting rescued by your wife ........ it reminds me of that episode of the simpsons when ...blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.......

Chester, I am interested also in further details. Where and when? Reason being , although I can only imagine the same s*** happening at any place I would go out of my way to avoid this dealer out of support for you or anyone else this pr*** has attacked.
I, sadly, am not surprised at this cos once I took a taxi to my home and the fare was about 12,000 and he turned off the meter by 'accident' and tried to sting me for a much larger sum. When I stuck to my guns I had the whole street line up behind him to give him moral support. Crazy eh....an Indonesian friend once explained that they would support anyone from their race no matter what. It is their obligation she said.
