I found a good glossary for grammar terms in Japanese -

http://www.alse-net.com/column/grammar-terms.htm

- but I have yet to find a good glossary of terms used in education, typically in high schools.

So far I turned up this -

http://www.ed.gov/pubs/Research5/Japan/glossary.html

Can anybody recommend such a thing, online or off?

Thanks

Not 100% sure what you're looking for, but the best resource I know for education-related terms/concepts is Sanseido's 英語教授法辞典 (Dictionary of English Language Teaching). The direct Amazon link (used copy) is below:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/offer-listing/4385151547/ref=sr_1_olp_1/249-4891498-3533145?ie=UTF8&s=gateway&qid=1189993626&sr=8-1

It'll really come in handy, say, on the off chance you suddenly find yourself needing to explain "Harvard Graded Direct Method," "exocentric construction," "heterogeneous grouping," and/or "neutral vowel" in Japanese to your colleagues/priest/friends/significant others, etc. And just imagine what a hit you'd be at parties and such as well--e.g., "Heh baby, let's talk 'inductive generalization'...." I bet they'd, uh, swoon.... Laughing Wink

I should be writing the advertising for this book! Very Happy
