I currently work in China, things have gone sour, and I am considering bolting to Taiwan.

How are semesters scheduled in Taiwan? Would it be possible to find secure a job within 2 months?

I poses the following qualifications:
    Speaks fluent conversational Chinese
    Can understand Chinese newspapers
One year experience teaching in China
    Bachelor of Computer Science
    TESL cert

What sort of job, pay could I be looking at? I've heard of English teaching schools recruiting Mandarin speaking foreigners, how profitable is that?

Other than the TESL certificate, do you "poses" any qualifications in English? By most accounts schools in Taiwan are a little more demanding in that regard than schools in China.

Other than being a native speaker from Canada, no.

Lorean, the job market in Taiwan is becoming more and more competitive each year but with a BA, native English tongue, and a TEFL certificate, plus teaching experience in Asia, you can find work somewhere. However, as other threads of raised, the issue in a place like Taiwan, and probably China too, is not so much about finding work per se but finding work in a place that will be enjoyable. Good luck nonetheless!
