I currently work in China, things have gone sour, and I am considering bolting to Taiwan.
How are semesters scheduled in Taiwan? Would it be possible to find secure a job within 2 months?
I poses the following qualifications:Speaks fluent conversational Chinese Can understand Chinese newspapers One year experience teaching in China Bachelor of Computer Science
What sort of job, pay could I be looking at? I've heard of English teaching schools recruiting Mandarin speaking foreigners, how profitable is that? |

Other than the TESL certificate, do you "poses" any qualifications in English? By most accounts schools in Taiwan are a little more demanding in that regard than schools in China. |

Lorean, the job market in Taiwan is becoming more and more competitive each year but with a BA, native English tongue, and a TEFL certificate, plus teaching experience in Asia, you can find work somewhere. However, as other threads of raised, the issue in a place like Taiwan, and probably China too, is not so much about finding work per se but finding work in a place that will be enjoyable. Good luck nonetheless! |
