Folks:
I was all set to accept a position to the ADEC project in 2007 teaching at one of the schools (I think I would have been put in an elementary or middle school). I was all set to go to Al Ain. My accommodation was set up at an an AL Ain 5 star hotel and the flight arranged.
Things changed, and in the end I was not able to go. Some teachers reported problems with the program.
I am wondering if things have now changed (for the better) at the project?
Thank you for any information you might have.

Hi Ghost,
This project was operating in two schools in Al Ain. It was financed by ADEC but the project was managed by ADEZ and delivered by IAT. With such an alphabet soup involved it is hardly surprising it folded and the staff who remained were transferred to other IAT teaching duties.

Are the present IAT teaching duties more agreeable and pleasant compared with the chaos which characterized the ADEC project, where even, according to reliable sources, experienced certified teachers with over 10 years experience were reduced to tears and fits of rage in the ADEC/IAT classroom situations? Most of the teachers either resigned, did runners, or cried off 'sick.' None who wrote to me had any intentions of completing the 3 year contracts, despite the generous pay and very reasonable accommodation allowances.
