Hello all.
Heres my situation. I live in the US, native english speaker, some college, no degree, no teaching exp or any TEFL cert of any kind. I have a friend who lives in Lima. At the school he went to they told him that a native english speaker could teach there if they passed and english test and had a valid work visa.
It seems a little fishy to me since I thought you needed a job before getting a work visa. If anyone knows anything about this situation let me know. Thanks. |

I have a valid work visa, but that's because I'm married to a Peruvian. So many schools do that where they have a test and you show your foreign ID and then you get the job.
However, there are tons of jobs that don't require work visas. PM me if you want info, just keep in mind it's illegal to work without a legal work visa. |
