How would you explain the difference in meaning to a foreigner between these two
examples?
He�s been to Bermuda.
He�s gone to Bermuda. |

He's gone to Bermuda means ... he's in Bemuda now.
He's been to Bermuda means ... he went and came back.
Think of the example we see in shop windows around lunchtime.
The sign always says 'gone to lunch' rather than 'been to lunch'. |
