I am about to move to Madrid in January and I am debating whether or not I should buy a laptop there or before I leave. (I am from the U.S.) I was not sure if I would have problems with a laptop purchased here. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Most things like Laptops and Ipods are going to be cheaper in the states. I bought my Toshiba at Office Depot with the extended warranty. There are actually 2 Office Depot locations in Madrid incase you need to take it in.

My $.02

Definitely much cheaper over there, though prices are dropping here fast as the euro gets stronger, but over in the US sales tax is much lower so get your laptop there.

Would go with something nice and reliable though with a worldwide manufacturers guarantee just in case though.

Here's a link to give you an idea of prices...
