I arrived on a 60 day tourist visa which can be changed here without leaving the island. I'm wondering if I change to a student visa first can I later change it to a work visa without leaving Taiwan or should I go straight for the work visa? |

Yeah, good question, since I'll be arriving soon with a 60-day visitor's visa.
I was also wondering what the procedures would be in case I decided to find a job after my 3-month study program.
Would that require me to leave Taiwan to get my Visa processed or could I still stay in the country and have my new employer arrange that stuff for me? |

OK, just found out by reading the TECO website that people who enter with a Visitor's Visa can get it transferred over to a work Visa without having to leave Taiwan!
To the OP, I don't think there is a student Visa. It's either a Visitor's Visa or a Work Visa. |
