Does anybody know of a good Russian language (self-study) learning course?
Particularly, listening and reading. I'm pre-intermediate level.
Has anybody tried Rosetta Stone?
Thanks for any advice. |

I had good results using Pimsleur for pronunciation along with various textbooks -- for example, Golosa. Lots of people really like the New Penguin book. |

Yes, I like the new Penguin book. Well, rather like the old Penguin too, even with the endearing chat-up lines like, 'do you fancy going down to the collective farm?', 'no I'm off to the Comsomol meeting this evening'. |
