We don't even have Ramadan here and I'm bored out of my skull.
Dinner with the in-laws, not QUITE enough wine - and now.........

the ancient western music on the radio

(kind of sureal to hear stuff like 'girl, you'll be a woman soon' and ' ya picked a fine time t' leave me lucile' and the ever-popular 'ruby' in a czech accent - assuming that you've the leisure to listen to such crap....)

Omigod, going for a walk around the ancient Rozemburk castle ruins to check out the Hussite cannonball...I GUESS it's better than listening to the radio. Even if I've done this round a million times before.

Never had this problem in Prague - it's rich. Ditto Luxembourg and Maastricht. I thought it was a small-town problem. Wish I had Istanbul resources this weekend!!

But I've got obligations at the cottage tomorrow, in terms of the grass and mulch pile. I'm well-stuck here for the duration.

I totally fancy one. I am thinking around 7 as if I don't get out early I will get sleepy. ( oh the late 30's have crep upon me).

The more the merrier. Maybe we can meet at the Irish Pub the "James Joyce at about 6-7 to get a nice table. The staff speak English and it's in the heart of Taksim.

If your interested PM me . I'LL be out of the email range from 3pm on I might check in after but not sure. Hope to hear from you .

Count me in. Yes the late 30's can do that. Not sure I know the location of James Joyce. Off Istiklal?
