I'm currently working in Taiwan but will be leaving my current job in December to travel around Thailand, Cambodia, Laos etc.
Right now the options are open but one of them is to return to Taiwan after the travels (mid to late January is the idea at the moment) and work for another school in a different location, which prompts my questions:
1: What would be the best date to return to Taiwan to start teaching at a new position?
2: When will schools who will be hiring in the early new year begin searching for teachers?
3: Will I have to get a new visitor visa before returning or will my current A.R.C (valid until March 2008) still be accepted?
Thanks for the help. |

Thanks for the response.
1: I know that Buxibans hire and fire / have people leave all the time but I guess what I'm asking for is an optimum 'be-back-in the-country-by' date.
I was kinda figuring the end of Jan beginning of Feb.
2: OK
3: So if I'm leaving on good terms there's a chance I could ask my current school not to cancel my work permit / ARC and re-enter Taiwan with it?
Thanks for the info.
