My school has recently asked me to tread the reading books so they can be recorded and given to students via CD, but it seems they expect it to be done for free, or during the office hours I have.

I did this in the past(well, read speeches for kids to rehearse) and know that it takes more time then one would expect, and also, I was paid extra for the speeches.

My question is, has anyone been asked to this? Did you do it? Did you do it for free, and if not, what was the charge?

I know I won't do it for free, but I am curious to hear others experiences with this type of situation.
