Hi, I am a potentially brand new newbie who is looking into the different programs that are run to teach English in China. I keep coming across this one called the China Program in Shenzhen run through the Center for Teaching & Learning in China (based in the US). It looks quite interesting, but with the large number of programs involved I'm getting quite confused. More so because I live in Australia and find it difficult (and expensive) to call the US at convenient times to find out more.
I don't want to make a huge mistake though by going through a program that is no good and then being stuck in China.
My main interest in the program is that it is based in Shenzhen and it also offers chinese lessons twice a week.
Any advice regarding this program would be definitely appreciated! Especially if you have used them before, and/or are using them now. I've still got some time up my sleeve before I have to apply for 2008 but just want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction.
Thanks |

Its a Chinese based organization (registered in Xiamen) with some part-time recruiters working in the states operating the phones (which are mobile phones)
If you insist to do a program I suggest a domestic one registered in the USA.. At least you'll have some recourse if things go flakey than with a Chinese company..
Just do a whois.sc on the companys web to find out who owns it and where it is registered.. Peep out the sec of state in where they claim to be registered to see if they are a real company, or a web face-plate.. |
