Hi everyone
Confused ranting newbie here, just wondering if anyone can tell me whether it's possible to find an entry-level job in London or rest of UK....i.e. no experience required. I finished my CELTA the summer with pass B and was planning to go to abroad but my plans have had to change last minute! I actually got a few interview offers ---but alas have had to tell them I can no longer go out there
I'm in a bit of a pickle and just a bit worried now as I basically quit my high-paid, relatively high-profile job for what is turning out to be a nightmare! Is the London EFL market really over-saturated? I spoke to an agency who were recruiting for one newly qualified teacher - the guy said he had over 150 applications for that position alone! Any advice most welcome ^__^ |

Teaching in London can be a horrible and dispiriting experience. Think carefully before accepting any work there. |

I suggest you check out the UK forum and ask those that know, but during my browsings there, it seems that the UK pays less in proportion than some of the so-called developing countries. |
