Hi, Can anyone suggests some schools in Oaxaca? I'm 62 years old. I have a lot of great business experience but this is my first teaching job. I love the English language and the Mexcian people. I'm willing to commit to 1 year. I have a CELTA.
Thanks for your help.

Hey Jay-
I lived in Oaxaca for a year, teaching at a school called Amigos del Sol. It was small (5 teachers) and low-key, if a little on the under-resourced side. The curriculum was also very open, which was great to have a lot of control over how you taught your class, but was also a lot of work. The last I heard, they changed addresses to a location in Reforma (suburb to the north of the centro), and I think you can find them online.
I also had a friend teaching at Cambridge, and it sounded pretty good, too, with a more structured curriculum and books and such. There's also a Harmon Hall in town (I heard some less than positive things from an ex-teacher, but who knows), and a Berlitz or two, as well. |

When you say Oaxaca, do you mean city or anywhere in the state? |
