If I am only able to attend one day of the JALT conference, which day do you think would be the best day to attend in terms of meeting and networking with people who may be looking to hire new teachers for April, 2008? (Edit )
I was thinking either Friday or Saturday would be best.
I've never been to JALT and am wondering if it is like the TESOL Arabia where they actually conduct job interviews at the conference.
Can any of you university instructors or JALT vets. shed some light on this?
Thanks!

If you go to this link: http://conferences.jalt.org/2007/schedule you will find the scheduled seminars for each day. Choose one of the days, and a list of different titles will be given. Click on the one that sounds appealing, and a small blurb about the content will come up. After you've chosen the topics that appeal to you most, see which day has more to offer, and go with that.
Hope that helps to narrow it down a bit.

Probably the window for April 2007 employment has closed. |

The sarcasm is reminiscent of another poster named Canuck. The similarities are... uncanny. Add a few rolly-eyes, and you could be Canuck's doppelganger.
Sarcasm is sometimes funny... sometimes just an excuse to make someone feel stupid (the latter being a trademark of Canuck's as well). Thus... the confusion. |

Sorry!
Yeah, 2008.
Just trying to get an idea of what the scheduling of events will be like in terms of university and college related presentations and hopefully network with instructors teaching at this level.
Wabisabi, thanks for the info!
Appreciate the replies. |
