Hi All,

I will be finishing up my 4th consecutive year at the same hagwon in Korea. My contract ends 11/30. I am not ruling out another year but am considering a change. One of the choices is to teach a year or two in China. I am a certified teacher that has taught over 20 years in the US. With my 4 years in Korea, what can I expect for wages at this time of year?

depends on a lot. you could work in some poor college for 10 hours a week at 2,000rmb per month or an international school in shanghai for $40,000 usd a year(just ballpark figures). depends on the openings, location, how much you want to work, what you want to do, ect.
