Hi everybody!

I'll be coming to teach in Moscow in a few weeks and am trying to figure out what kind of adaptor I need for my computer. I know that the voltage is usually 220, but can anybody describe the outlet holes for me? I used a rounded two-prong adaptor in Korea, but I heard that the outlets in Russia are a little smaller. I'm wondering if I'll be able to find an adaptor in Radio Shack or the like before I head out.

Thanks and wish me luck!

Outlets in Russia are the same as in Europe, except perhaps the really old ones which may be a bit smaller. In any case you can buy an adapter anywhere for about a buck.

embojangles -- easy, when you get to Russia visit a computer store and ask for a opwer cord. You know, the one from the power supply in your computer to the wall plug --- many of the simple parts that I need - like this one -- I am given. No cost!

But, I live in Ufa on the western slopes of the Ural Mountains and not in that dreaded Moscow!

Thanks a bunch for your help!

I did manage to find an adapter for my computer at Radio Shack, but it doesn't fit the charger to my camera battery (the only other electronic I'm planning to bring in). I guess I'll have to find an electronics store after all, but at least it won't be as pressing an issue.
