Anyone working in Georgia, or have any info on schools in Tblisi?
Is there any job market at all, or am I just dreaming? |

Wonderful country and lovely people..BUT unfortunately it has never really recovered its former stability and relative prosperity since the civil war in the early '90's.I have posted about this several times before on this site and because of this I would not seriously suggest it is worth the risk of going there, except possibly briefly as a visitor.Even last week there were mass demonstrations in Tbilisi calling on the government to declare early elections, ostensibly because corruption and poverty etc is still rife there, despite Saakashvilis western backing ahd supposed reforms...
One possible exception might be if you can find work in a compound run by a western oil company in somewhere like Poti on the Black sea, where security risks are minimal.
Hope this helps. |

Sorry if I proved to be a Cassandra, but I think everyone will now agree that my comments were correct, much as I'm sorry to have to say it! |
