Read that Santiago got a little shake-a-doodle-doo this morning...7.7. Any major damage?

yes Guy, i heard it was a 'lucky' one also. meaning, it could have caused a lot more damage. it was 7.7, but had several +5.0 aftershocks.

one lady said it felt alot worse than the '96 one, where about 5,000 people died.

I found it eerie that at around 8:30 AM yesterday, I thought I'd felt a tremor in Mexico City, then read about the quake in Chile about an hour later. Mexico City is too far away to feel it.

We're due for a jolt here I think...every few years.
