I recently completed my TEFL certification and am now in the porcess of securing an overseas teaching position. When creating my resume, should I include previous job experience even if it IS NOT related to teaching? What do most overseas employers expect? Thank you!
Regards,

Try to highlight job experience that is relevant in some way, and highlight other courses you've taken, as well as your education.
Leave off that year you spent working the McDonald's drive thru window, for example, and add in any work you've done training others. |

Yes, put non-teaching job history on your resume. If you're just starting out in TEFL, that may be all you have. Also, who knows what an employer may find to talk about in your interview if they see certain jobs on the resume? They will need something to talk about. Just don't B.S. too much about how a retail job makes you prepared to handle students as if they were clients. |
