| For the last couple of weeks this correspondent has been notable by his absence. What happened? Did he finally fall off a cliff? Complete his five year plan and is now running a fast food outlet in Bangkok or Cairo? Sitting in a garbage can in South - East Los Angeles, drinking 4 Rose Canadian Whisky? Come on, mate, you need a signing off note before you can abandon us all like that. |

He has cashed in his stocks and shares, and has bought a medieval castle in Transylvania, a condo on the Black Sea, a mountain chalet in Bukovina and a penthouse in Bucharest, having finally come round to seeing the joys of real-estate investment.

Mind you, if all that was possible after a lifetime of commodities, futures, stocks and derivtaves, I suppose they can't be too bad either!!
