-BA in education
-certified in two states (USA)
-15 years total teaching experience at all grade levels including adults
-3 years teaching ESL in korea
-currently teaching middle school in the USA

that said, what is the best way to go about getting a job at an intl. school?
when should i start applying? is it best to go through a recruiter (ie. search associates) or should i just send out CV's, make some follow up calls and hit the pavement? please advise.

thanks
skytrain

Skytrain,

with your qualifications you shouldn't have any trouble landing a job at one of the big international schools. The best way is to get hired through a recruitment agency such as ISS which holds several recruitment fairs throughout the year. You need to register with them which may cost you a little but it's worth while.

The other route is to contact the schools yourself. Most schools post positions on their websites. Go to www.isat.or.th for a complete list of schools.

thanks placebo.

will register with ISS and search associates. i agree that the fee is a small price to pay considering the payoff.
